Ai Ádai!

I traveled with Team Guam to the VII South Pacific Games in Palau in July through early August. The Games met with consistent rain putting quite a damper on the excitement of the events. While all the outdoor sports were affected by the frequent rain pour, the energy of the volunteers in Palau made it possible for Fast Pitch Softball to complete its pool play and championship games. Both the men and women's fast pitch softball teams brought home the GOLD medal from the Palau Games. It was the only Federation to have both teams gold medal.

Swimming was another success story in that every member of the team, a very young team I might add, medaled. This is a very significant achievement for Team Guam Swimming.

Team Guam also medaled in other sports, Athletics and Baseball to mention a few. In order to capture the essence of the Games, I interviewed many athletes regarding their expectations of themselves and their overall impression of the Palau Games. I have fun interviewing the members of Team Guam and of some of the members of the South Pacific Games Council which changed its name to the Pacific Games Council.

I conducted an interview with Vidhya Lakhan, President of the South Pacific Games Council and Patrick Tellei, Chairman of the VII South Pacific Games Mini Games to mention a few officials interviewed.

Another new feature are the Video Clips that I have started to publish on this site. Make sure to find your way to the Video Archive page and view a few of the video clips already there. A clue would be for you to click on the video camera link below.
