Ernesto M.
Espaldon, M.D., F.A.C.S. – a gifted specialist in major & minor plastic
surgery and reconstructive surgery is listed in the American Medical
Directory and the 25th Edition and Marquis – Who’s Who,
Directory of Medical Specialists, Vol. 13.
Unless you’ve been
here at least 20 years you may not recognize his name, but, if you have,
you know that Espaldon has accomplished much as doctor and legislator. On
the Island Doctor’s Show last night, (Thursday, June 12, 2003) Espaldon
announced the availability of his second book titled, “The Beloved of
God.”
His new book
discusses his medical career and examples of challenges that the mission
addressed when in the Philippines focusing on reconstructive surgery. It’s
a story of a man with fine surgical skills and his dealings with political realities
on his quest to see accreditation of the hospital.
Most of the show’s
time was spent on discussion regarding accreditation for the Guam
Memorial
Hospital,
something that Espaldon was instrumental and successful in attaining when
he was chair of the legislature’s committee on Health. Espaldon spoke
frankly regarding the involvement of the legislature in attaining
accreditation for the hospital and you can listen to what he said by
listening to
Dr. Espaldon on The
Island Doctor's Show.
Dr. Espaldon also
mentioned the near production of his third book, "The Frontier of the
Soul", in which he discusses in detail
the accreditation of the Hospital and the political realities of the time.
"The draft is done
and it's ready to be published," Dr. Espaldon said of his third book.
But for now, it's
The Beloved of God that is in
bookstores closest to you. Head out and pick up a copy of “The Beloved of God”
today.

Statements of Dr. Ernesto M.
Espaldon regarding the accreditation of the Hospital:
"Because I knew the solutions to the main problems confronting the Guam
Memorial Hospital could be solved in the legislature with proper funding,
and not in the Board of Trustees, I decided to run for senator in that
year's election and won." |
