Elie & Adele Bezaire of River
Canard, Canada pose with their wedding anniversary cake af ter
renewing their vows on the occasion of their 50th wedding
anniversary at St. Joseph's Church in a solemn high mass. The
Bezaire's shared the memorable event also serving as witnesses for
their daughter Rachelle's wedding to Louis Rocheleau.
The Bezaires were married at St
Joseph's Church by its pastor, the Reverend Francois Marseilles.
At the time the couple had ten living children. Armand of
River Canard, Mrs. Joseph Tremblay (Stella) of Salle, Mrs.
Willis Steffy (Valentine) of Honolulu, Hawaii, Euclide
at home, Yvonne of Belie River, Rosario of River
Canard, Mrs. Renaud (Isabelle) of McGregor, Mrs. Paul
Gauthier (Noella) of Bourget, Sylvio of River Canard
and Mrs. Rocheleau (Rachelle). Noella was the only family
member who could not attend the ceremony. The couple has 13
grandchildren.
The double ceremony was
officiated by the Reverend Ovila Charbonneau singing the mass and
assisted by the bride's cousin, Reverend Felix Bezaire as deacon.
Reverend A. P. Marentette pastor of SS. Simon and Jude Church,
Belle River, was subdeacon. Another cousin of the bride, the
Reverend Eugene Larocque was in the sanctuary. |
