It is common to call the Christian Greek Scriptures
the New Testament. The reason I use Christian Greek Scriptures to describe
the books translated by Bishop Tomas A. Camacho, the books of Matthew through
Revelation is to be true to the design that distinguishes them from the
pre-Christian Greek Septuagint translation of the Hebrew Scriptures.
There are 27 canonical books that make up the Christian Greek
Scriptures. The books are not assembled in the order in which they were
written. They were put in a logical arrangement according to subject matter,
classified as:
With the exception of the book of Matthew, which was written
originally in Hebrew and later translated into Greek, all the other 26 books
were written in the common Greek, Koine, the international language of the
day.
